Duty Regulations

By entry in the Philippines:

All visitors are asked by entry to fill out a custom declaration for the easement of the tariff completion.

The following articles can be imported duty-free:

  • Clothes, decoration and toiletarticles for the daily need
  • 400 cigarettes or
  • 500 grams of tobacco
  • 2 litres alcohol


By departure:

Free of import duties are:

  • 200 cigarettes (minimum age: 17 years) or
  • 100 cigaillo (minimum age: 17 years) or
  • 50 cigars (minimum age: 17 years) or
  • 250 g of tobacco (minimum age: 17 years)
  • 1 litre of liquor with an alcohol content of more than 22 vol% (minimum age: 17 years) or
  • 2 litres of liquor, aperitifs from wine, alcohol, taffia, sake or similar beverages with an alcohol content of 22% volume or less(minimum age: 17 years) or
  • 2 litres of sparkling wine / liquor wine or a proportionate compilation of these goods(minimum age: 17 years) and
  • litres not foaming wines(minimum age: 17 years)
  • 500 gram coffee (minimum age: 15 years) or
  • 200 g of excerpts, Essenzen or concentrates from coffee or preparing on the basis of these goods or on the basis of coffee (minimum age: 15 years)
  • 50 gram of perfume and
  • 0.25 litres of Eau de Toilette
  • A quantity of medicaments corresponding to the personal need
  • Other goods up to a commodity value of altogether 175, - EURO

For protection of the threatened animal and plant world the custom authoities advises - in particular with journeys to exotic countries - to relinquish to living vacation souvenirs and products from plants and animals!

Also fragments of corals, bowls of giant shells, housings of Fechter snails and other typical exotic travel souvenirs are falling under the protection of species!

The fact that certain goods are offered publicly at conditions or in respectable business, is not an indication for the fact that it does not concern of a protected kind!

Don't give faith to “Flying dealers”, who would like to convince you that a certain animal, a plant or a product are not kind-protected! Often they want to sell only their commodity!

The trade with protected animals and plants, parts of it or goods from it is either completely forbidden or only possible under completely determined conditions. Determined offences are strictly pursued and the involved person must reckon apart from the collection of these goods on high penalties or punishments.

Cash controls

Since spring 1998 the Border Police carry out controls of the transnational cash-only transaction. The target of this measure is it to seek out profits from heavy criminal offences and to thus fight the organized criminality.
By debriefing of the control officials, carried currencies are to be announced starting from a value of 15.000 EUR, which are exported or imported in the EU. By other countries than the EU please ask your corresponding authorities.


Product piracy

Clothing, bags, clocks, cosmetics, fan article, spare parts etc. of considerable manufacturers are frequently offered in the vacation for approving prices. However it concerns only as alleged good deals. In place of the desired branded articles frequently it acts over illegaly and in bad quality manufactured copies.

Apart from the damage for the manufacturers of the original commodity these false products can also endanger the health and even the life of persons. Thus for example the production of textiles are frequently made of poisonous coloring materials. By offered car spare parts one must assume that these haven't passed no security examination. Therefore such goods you may bring along only for the own use within o.a. the entry free quantities. Otherwise even small quantities will be seized by the custom and are prelude of a criminal proceeding.
